TAUNTON VALE FUN RIDE

The TVF fun ride is being organised by a small group of volunteers and with kind permission of landowners and farmers.  They very much hope you will all enjoy the opportunity to ride over some beautiful countryside but please be considerate of others around you, paricularly on public stretches of land.

GATES will NOT open before 8.30am

PARKING WILL BE IN A LARGE STUBBLE FIELD ON DANCING HILL. 

Directions from the M5 Junction 24 or A38 coming from Bridgwater.

From the Motorway roundabout, head into North Petherton, and take the right hand turning 'Old Road' follow that road through the 'built up area' and carry on which will then lead onto Dancing Hill. Stay on Dancing Hill for approx 1.5 miles until you see a large stubble field on the left hand side (just past a barn conversion) . This will be signposted, and a parking steward will be on the gate. 

Directions from A38 coming from Taunton

From North Petherton take the road 'Watery Lane' (not suitable for HGV'S) on your left which will wiggle around an s-bend, go all the way to the end and at the T-junction turn RIGHT, you will then come to another T-junction- turn left here, onto Dancing Hill

Stay on Dancing Hill for approx 1.5 miles until you see a large stubble field on the left hand side (just past a barn conversion) . This will be signposted, and a parking steward will be on the gate. 

• Upon arrival please collect your number from the secretary who will be stationed in the lorry park clearly signed.
• Riders need to be aware that there may be walkers, cyclists and other riders using the same bridleways on the public stretches of land. Our riders do not have any higher privileges than any other user. Please be respectful at all times.
• Margins -PLEASE keep to the edge of any fields that are clearly signposted asking you to do so.
• Refreshments-We will be selling bacon and sausage baps, hot and cold drinks and cakes at the finish, so don’t leave hungry!
• Goody Bag- Please also make sure you all come and collect your ‘goody bag’ from the secretary once you have completed.
• Social distancing should be adhered to at all times.  There will be sings/markers and plenty of sanitiser stations.
