THE TAUNTON VALE MASTERS 2010/11 And their RESPONSIBILITIES

Richard Mitford-Slade has been a Master at the Taunton Vale Foxhounds since 2003. Richard [Ces] is now the senior Joint Master of the hunt. Richard has to make executive decisions in regard to any Mastership matter. Richard will also be fieldmastering the historically well known Friday Vale Country as he has done so well over the years.

Bridget Burbidge has had family connections with Taunton Vale Foxhounds for many years; Bridget joined the Mastership in 2005. As well as running parts of hunt country Bridget has great organizational skills, one such example is the Puppy Show where usually over 250 attend this summer event. Bridget performs fieldmastering duties and has no trouble in entertaining those Taunton Vale thrusters across some of the most exciting hunt country in the South and West of England.

Jenny Parsons has the task to contact all the farmers and landowners in parts of the Tuesday country. Jenny also fieldmasters this country which is so contrasting in comparison to the Vale, the beautiful scenery offers splendid views and watching hounds hunt a trail here is a real delight. Jenny joined the Mastership in 2007 and since then has performed many fundraising events such as the annual Hunt Ball.

Chris Chapple joined the Mastership in 2010 having been an enthusiastic member of the Taunton Vale field for a number of years. He came into hunting quite late in life and now sees himself ‘making up for lost time’. He has significant leadership in both the commercial and sporting worlds, and is now applying his skills for the Taunton Vale Foxhounds.

Stuart Sharp is the amateur huntsman of the Taunton Vale Hunt he joined the Mastership in 2010. Stuart will be hunting hounds each day and has to visit farmers in the vale country as well as some of the Tuesday country. He is also first liaison with all members of the staff at the kennels. He is ultimately responsible for all matters concerning a days hunting.
